The Purpose of Hillside Guest Services is to present a warm and hospitable first impression to guests, members, and regular attenders.  It is a vital ministry of Hillside Christian Church, helping to build the foundation for the Sunday morning worship experience.

The Guest Services Team is filled with friendly, sincere servant leaders who are intent on helping others for God’s glory.  Serving on the Guest Services Team is an honor.  Our smiles and positive attitudes exemplify our desire to love God as we lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

We Welcome Guests!  Whether helping people find a parking place, greeting guests with an open door and a smile, or handing them a worship program, the Guest Services Team is always there to make our guests feel welcome.  We know that a guest’s first impression will be a lasting one. At Hillside, our front door is wide and welcoming to every guest we encounter.

We Welcome Members and Regular Attenders!  It’s important to let our family and community know we are glad they are here.  That’s why we greet them with the same warmth and sincerity we show to our guests.

We Provide Information and Assistance!  Our volunteers know where each class and ministry is located, where people can find restrooms, and who on staff can help them with any questions they might have.  Our Guest Services Center provides maps, detailed event information, and a variety of ministry brochures.

Parking Team  •  Our parking team members help direct everyone to parking spots within specific sections, paying special attention to guests, preschool parents, the elderly, and the handicapped.  The parking team’s presence helps create a sense of order and safety in our parking lots.

Greeters  •  Our greeters stand at every outside access door, warmly welcoming guests, members, and regular attenders into Hillside’s facility.  This friendly team also stands at every doorway entering the auditorium, welcoming people and handing out worship programs.

Host Team  •  Members of our Host Team are stationed in every lobby area, making sure we make a personal connection with guests.  Host Team members focus primarily on guests and intentionally watch for people who look like they need help or directions.

Servers  •  These team members have the honor of passing the communion plates and offering baskets to the congregation during the Sunday morning services they attend.

Ushers  •  This group of volunteers is totally devoted to helping people find great seats before and during the service.  Their presence also helps keep people from feeling out of place if they arrive late, and helps to minimize distraction once the service has started.

Guest Services Desk Team
  •  These volunteers are the central hub of our Guest Services Team.  They are ready and available to give out detailed event information, special assistance,  and information to anyone who needs it.

Volunteer Central  •  These people help care for the Guest Services Team, making sure there is coffee and refreshments in the Volunteer Central room.
